How do I obtain a driveway permit?
Complete the Driveway Permit Form and mail with payment of $25.00 to: Town of Somerset, P.O. Box 248, Somerset, WI 54025
Are culverts available for purchase?
Yes. You can purchase galvanized, steel culverts and endwalls from the Town. To order, please call the Town Shop at 715-247-5094.
All dogs over 5 months of age must be licensed annually. Download the Dog License Form and mail with proof of rabies vaccination and payment to: Town of Somerset, P.O. Box 248, Somerset, WI 54025
Do I need a permit to use the Twin Springs Park?
Yes. An annual permit is $50.00 / Daily permit $5. Download application form, fill it out and remit with payment to: Town of Somerset, P.O. Box 248, Somerset, WI 54025
Is recycling available in the Town?
Yes. The Town provides a
drop-off
recycling program. The program is held the 2nd
& 4th
Friday from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
and Saturday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm each month.
The location
is
directly behind the Town Hall, 748 Hwy. 35, Somerset, WI 54025. The
program accepts the following materials: Aluminum, Tin, Glass,
Plastics, Cardboard, Newspaper, Magazines, Office Paper and Lead-Acid

When does the Town Board meet?
The Town Board meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 p.m. at the Somerset Town Hall, 748 Hwy. 35, Somerset, WI 54025. Agenda and Minutes
When does the Planning Commission meet?
The Planning Commission meets the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Somerset Town Hall, 748 Hwy. 35, Somerset, WI 54025. Agenda and Minutes
When are my property taxes due and how do I pay them?
The first installment of property taxes is due on or before January 31st. The second installment of property taxes is due on or before July 31st. Make payment at the St. Croix County Government Center, St. Croix County Treasurer’s Office, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, WI 54016. Phone: 715-386-4645 or 715-386-4647. St Croix County Treasurer accepts payments online.
How do I obtain a burning permit?
Burn Permits are only available at the Somerset Fire Station 748 Hwy 35 on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Burning permits are perpetual as of January 2007. There is no fee for the permit.

How do I obtain an Absentee Ballot?
You must be registered to vote prior to obtaining an absentee ballot. To obtain an absentee ballot, download the EB-121 form from the State of Wisconsin election website or contact your town clerk. Fill the form out completely and drop it off or mail it to: Town of Somerset, P.O. Box 248, Somerset, WI 54025

Wisconsin voters can look up their polling place and other election related information using the state's voter registration system at http://gab.wi.gov
Does the Town still pay for gopher bounty?
Yes. The Town pays $2.50 per tail for gopher bounty. Bring them to the Town Clerk, pre-counted, in a zip lock baggie. Call the Town Hall (715)247-3470 to be sure the Clerk is in.
Where are the Town’s legal notices published?
The Town publishes all minutes and legal notices in the New Richmond News. Minutes and agenda may also be found on this site.
