Town of Somerset
Seeking Sealed Bids

The Town of Somerset is seeking bids for chip seal coating of approximately 2.55 miles of roads (approximately 1.792 miles on 180th Avenue and approximately .757 miles on 80th Street).  The Town of Somerset will supply the trap rock.

Questions on the project can be directed to Ed Schachtner at 715-247-3470.  A prevailing wage rate determination is not required for these projects, since they are maintenance with a projected life span of no longer than five years.  

Bids are due by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010.  Bids are to be addressed and 
mailed to the Town of Somerset, P.O. Box 248, Somerset, WI  54025-0248.  The outside 
of the envelope is to be clearly marked Chip Seal Bid.  Bids will be opened at the 
Transportation & Facilities Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at
the Town Hall.  The Town Board will consider awarding the bid at their regular meeting
on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, 8:00 p.m.  The Town of Somerset reserves the right to 
reject any and all bids.
